LAPD shoot unprovoked at 3 innocent people in trucks validating the lunatic that accused them of abuse of power and incompetence, 2 were hispanic women, the perp they were hunting is a large black man. That's pretty damn incompetent

As reported in the Los Angeles Times: http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb/08/local/la-me-torrance-shooting-20130209  and http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/07/16888732-women-shot-by-cops-were-just-delivering-papers in the first week of Feb 2013

LAPD were on the lookout for Christopher Jordan Dorner, a disgruntled ex-cop suspected of hunting down members of the LAPD and their families in a twisted campaign of revenge. The radio call indicated that the truck matched the description of Dorner's gray Nissan Titan.

A few minutes later, a truck slowly rolled down the quiet residential street.

As the vehicle approached the house, officers opened fire, unloading a barrage of bullets into the back of the truck. When the shooting stopped, they quickly realized their mistake. The truck was not a Nissan Titan, but a Toyota Tacoma. The color wasn't gray, but aqua blue. And it wasn't Dorner inside the truck, but a woman and her mother delivering copies of the Los Angeles Times...

Beck and others stressed that the investigation into the shooting is in its infancy. They declined to say how many officers were involved, what kind of weapons they used, how many bullets were fired and, perhaps most important, what kind of verbal warnings — if any — were given to the women before the shooting began...

Law enforcement sources told The Times that at least seven officers opened fire. On Friday, the street was pockmarked with bullet holes in cars, trees, garage doors and roofs. Residents said they wanted to know what happened.

"How do you mistake two women, one who is 71, for a large black male?" said Richard Goo, 62, who counted five bullet holes in the entryway to his house. Then, after this incident occurred... A few blocks from the first accidental shooting, police were responding to the shots fired calls and came across another similar pickup truck to the suspect's. There was a collision to the rear of the vehicle and police fired three shots (at least) into the windshield of the driver who was luckily uninjured and NOT INVOLVED.

Christopher Dorner, the intended target of the police, worked for LAPD and has accused them (manifesto here) of abuse of power and incompetence.

The ultimate irony, as several other sources have commented, is that their response to him is validating his allegations.

nice parking guys, good thing this strip mall has 2 other ways in and out

Good thing they know how many ways this type of blocking a fire exit access isn't allowed.

Funniest thing I've seen all week, a guy impersonating a traffic camera doesn't realize he's annoyed the cops, til they back up to nab him

one town in Texas has busted Willie Nelson, Armie Hammer, Snoop Dogg, and Fiona Apple for having weed on their tour busses. Here is a detour mapped out to avoid it

this guy has gotten a lot of tickets for a loud that is way too loud

RHIP (Rank Has It's Privileges/parking) also know as those who make or enforce laws are sometimes breaking the laws they've made or vowed to enforce.

In this next short video, a 12-year-old named Jeremy approaches a Las Vegas Metro motorcycle cop who has illegally parked his motorcycle on a sidewalk, apparently in order to get a soft drink. The young man politely asks the cop if he had any emergency reason to park, and then requests his badge number. The cop refuses to answer either question, and asks Jeremy if he is a lawyer. Jeremy reiterates his request for a badge number. The cop continues to refuse, and eventually drives off. Perhaps the officer can be identified through this footage and reported to a superior who can work with him to correct his misunderstandings about his relationship to the law and his obligations to the public.

San Diego County Sherriff's Dept grows the "Take your police vehicle home program" gee, thanks for wasting tax payer dollars to cover your commuting gas bill

about one in six drive home the govt vehicle.

About 90 of the one in six, if I read that correctly, don't even live in the San Diego county.

the article is at http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/mar/26/tp-sheriff-grows-take-home-auto-program/

Why would they? They get to drive a govt vehicle home, they get the gas for free, and expense the entire commute.

Must be nice to be driving a cop car, not even a chance of getting a ticket, and not have to think about how much driving costs you... because it doesn't. And your private vehicle? Less miles, less use, less insurance costs to you.

Nice "benefit" perk

if you tangle with a cop, have your cell phone recording it to use in a court of law. You KNOW that the cop isn't going to tell the truth about his actions, especially this jackass. Resigned AFTER being busted out of state, acting the ass. Compliments to the citizen!

to explain the situation before watching the video (skip the first minute) the driving takes plave in North Carolina, the asshole in the police car is a South Carolina sheriff, out of state, and holding up taffic but even worse, not acting professionally when the videographer waits til the freeway opens up from 2 lanes to 3, hits the right hand new lane to get around the cop in the leftmost lane, the suv being a good boy in the right lane...   so once around the traffic block caused by the cop and the suv that didn't want any problems, the jackass out of state sherriff instead of using a radio or cell phone to call locals to notify them of speeding past the posted limit videographer, pulls all the way around the guy, and hits his brakes. Causes a collision.

so always have your cell phone, or all cell phones in the car on video recording when tangling with cops. You already know they don't follow the laws, often break them, will arrest you in a flick of the eye, and then lie about their unprofessional behavior. You see, they break laws, act like ass hats, and then realize that they have to protect themselves from your accusations in order to keep their high paying jobs, and save their pension providing career. You have any idea how motivated that makes them to not allow you to show their illegal behavior?

She doesn't post many car photos anymore, but among the multitude of humor posts she's done lately are these damn good funny ones

in the above, it's the handle she ( a blond who isn't aware she is perpetuating the stereotype of)  has in her hand that makes it comical

looks like an attempt at a motorcycle based on the "I Robot" movie cars
